Bardo Expected to Return to Google Play in Early July 2026

Bardo — Notes for People is expected to return to Google Play in early July 2026.

Following further discussions with the Google Play Team regarding our Play Console verification, we are working on the final steps required to restore Bardo's availability on the Play Store.

Bardo will return under a new Google Play developer account and publisher name: typexai, formerly TypexAI on Google Play. This update is part of our effort to ensure the app remains available to users while meeting the required Google Play account and verification standards.

This situation was related to Google Play account and verification requirements, not to the Bardo app itself. Existing users can continue using Bardo as usual. Once the Play Store listing is restored, new users will also be able to download Bardo again.

Google Play remains an important distribution platform for Bardo, and we will continue supporting the Android app through the Play Store. At the same time, we believe Bardo should also become available beyond a single platform. For this reason, we plan to accelerate the development of Bardo Web, so that in the future users will have an additional way to access Bardo across different devices and platforms.

Our goal is not to replace Google Play, but to make Bardo more accessible, flexible, and resilient for the future. We want users to be able to rely on Bardo whether they use Android, the web, or other platforms in the future.

Our focus remains the same: building a private, simple, and powerful notes app for people who want more control over their thoughts and information.
