Bardo 1.2 is now available
Published: October 25, 2026
Bardo 1.2 is out now on Android. Updates for Bardo for Windows and Bardo Web are out as well, so the release reaches every version of Bardo.
What’s new in Bardo 1.2:
- Redesigned note editor and main menu.
- Echo sends a full note by sound, from one phone speaker to another phone microphone.
- One Today menu that combines reminders, activity, to-do lists and calendar events.
- Subfolders in to-do lists.
- Publish your own widgets to the Bardo Marketplace. Template publishing has been removed.
- Better themes and a better custom theme editor.
- Read notes aloud while you view them.
- Folder blocks on the main notes screen are sorted separately.
- Trash can be emptied automatically after a set number of days, and Trash handling is improved.
- Security overview menu that shows which security settings are on and which are off.
- Calmer interface: turn off bright theme colors.
- New languages: German, Estonian, French, Hebrew and Persian (Hebrew and Persian in select regions).
- Start a voice note from a quick settings tile.
- A to-do reminder in the bottom bar when a to-do has not been touched for about 14 days.
- Additional undo and redo buttons.
- Dyslexia-friendly font with wider spacing.
- TalkBack support on Android.
- Many security issues fixed, and Bardo is more stable and faster.
Bardo stays offline-first. Sync is optional, and your notes stay on your device by default.
