Introducing TypexAI Cloud

We are excited to introduce TypexAI Cloud.

Bardo Plus will soon introduce the ability to seamlessly sync your workspace across any Bardo Web instance in your browser, along with your subscription.

TypexAI Cloud eliminates the need for email or phone numbers. Instead, it uses a streamlined account creation process similar to Mullvad VPN, requiring only a 16-digit number and a password. This approach is faster and ensures greater privacy.

Security is at the core of TypexAI Cloud. All data is encrypted client-side with end-to-end encryption. Your password never leaves your device, and authentication is secured via an ECDSA P-256 challenge. Data encryption follows a robust pipeline: Argon2id for key derivation, HKDF for key stretching, and XChaCha20-Poly1305 for encryption. The server only sees ciphertext and metadata such as IDs, sizes, and collection names, ensuring that your notes and content remain fully private.

In light of the EU’s Chat Control regulations, TypexAI Cloud will not be available in the European Union. Bardo will continue to work locally in the EU, but workspace sync cannot be offered there without compromising end-to-end encryption. We will not weaken encryption, introduce surveillance mechanisms, or scan private content simply to enable cloud synchronization in Europe.

Our servers are based in Switzerland, further strengthening data protection. With a Bardo Plus subscription, you also receive a generous 1 GB of free storage for your notes, lists, drawings, and all other workspace content.
