A Statement on Bardo Android

Thank you to everyone who supported us and used Bardo Android - it’s been a wonderful time of growth. But I don’t think we should stop now; we need to keep moving forward - there’s really no other option.

And perhaps most importantly, we’ve shown that it’s possible not to give up when things get tough and to fight for Bardo with all our might. This past month has been very difficult, especially given what was happening behind the scenes. Out-of-court proceedings, communications and disputes with Google, disproportionate actions, and uncertainty.

The story of Bardo Android is an idea that no one believed in, but the team and I turned it into something. Unfortunately, just as everything in this world comes to an end, so did Bardo Android - and for a silly, disproportionate bureaucratic reason.

There were many people who wrote to us - hundreds of them - and were happy; they were genuinely happy and wished us all the best. And now that’s gone. But it also served as an important lesson for all of us.

Bardo Android often grew horizontally - that is, by building on what already existed - but sometimes it also moved vertically with certain innovations, which I’m personally pleased with.

Bardo 1.1 for Android was completely ready and scheduled for release as early as June - a massive update, very large and costly. And it didn’t happen.

I’m grateful to the TypexAI team for their incredible support and help with everything - what you created, wrote, and sang is wonderful.

We’ll use the developments and technologies from the Android version and add them to Bardo Web! Thank you to the team for their hard work and to the users for using and supporting the app.
