Cloud Sync in Bardo 1.1

Published: June 18, 2026

Bardo 1.1 introduces self-hosted cloud synchronization for Bardo Plus users. Instead of storing your data on our servers, you connect your own Supabase instance. Your notes sync across devices while staying entirely within your own infrastructure.

This follows the same principle as Bardo's AI integration: you provide your own credentials, connect directly to the service, and we never have access to your data or keys. If you use Supabase's free tier, there's no additional cost.

Setup takes a few minutes. Create a free account at supabase.com, set up a project, add a storage folder named "bardo," and copy your secret API key from Project Settings. Enter both in Bardo and sync is ready.

What syncs: notes, to-do lists, and all note content. Optional end-to-end encryption is available with a choice of encryption method — keys remain on your device.
